I just can't can't can't believe that! Made me feeling sick from watching it and thinking about it!
Dua, my thoughts are with you.
Rest in peace, now you're away from those evil people.

Dua my Tulip, Laleh
Every day I think about you Dua. I never met you in life. Your memory is with me after your departure from this cruel world. I was in the woods on Sunday thinking of you and sat by a river and looked at the wild white flowers and talked to them as if it was you. I know soon you will be growing out of that land as tulip and soak the sunshine again. I wish I was there to shield you

Oh God, How I wish I was present and held Dua with all the love in the world, and this may have stopped these men. There will come a day, a moment, and probably already, when all who were present with Dua will understand that each one of them killed this heavenly human being, as we all are wonderful miracles of life! If only time could be turned back to the moment Dua was on her way home and could have been welcomed and loved and shown care and affection by these same men. They will live to see the day when love will win over hatred. And if not here on this land of earth then in hell asking for forgiveness.
This young woman Dua represents our hearts being broken at not being able to save her with our love and strengh. Our dream for Dua is every good caring persons dream... to never ever be hurt like this or in any way. Oh how everyone who is answering with these emails would love to have that moment in time back again, and all of us be with this girl Dua to protect her. I know all of you answering with your feelings would give your life up to protect this girl even thought we didn't know her. We would have cared with our life, especially us good men, and women. And now she knows that too, in our Heaven. Oh how I wish we were all there at that moment and walking with this sweet girl and protecting her. And if the result was the same for me or all of us too, while protecting this girl, then as the man and men and women we are, good men, and good woman then this would truely have been an "HONOR".
Our love and hearts are with her. Love you all for loving her, John

They were NOT Muslims. The boyfriend was a Sunni. She was a member of an ancient sect known as the Yezidi who are feeling discriminated against and threatened by the Muslims.

He is in hiding for fear of his life.

She didn't even do anything - the rumor was that she had spent the night with him which made the men hysterical. It was not true.

The Dark Ages are past when cell phone photos are taken.

The shame of that village is now out for the whole world to see - NOT the "shame" of Du'a.

I'm wondering if these were Muslims who killed her... I could hear calls of Allah Akbar from the crowd. Either way these men were scum, filth, the lowest of the low, I pray that Du'a is in a safe happy place now away from this world of chaos.
Fly By Night....Rush by any chance? Good choice!

I saw it and wept. All I wanted to do was hold her and wipe the blood away. I don't care what religion you are. God shall have his vengeance against them. Her blood is upon your heads.

This has saddened me so much, I wish I could have saved here or protected her from such an anguished death. Those people were not men, they were cowards and murderers. I hope poor little Du'a can rest in peace now, she was too good for this world.

The killing of an innocent young girl (teenager) was barbaric. It does not belong in the 21st century. When are people going to abolish these barbaric practises????

I am a Kurdish man, I am so ashamed that this happened so close to Kurdistan. I was raised in an educated environment and in a modern city in Kurdistan. Where is was not common. These traditions that are clinging in the remote town and villages must stop. We must force the Kurdish government to make laws to severely punish the people who committee these acts. This is Murder, barbarism and emotionless acts resulting from stupidity and lack of education. The honorable thing would have been to save this girl, to die saving her, not picking up stones, or recording her murder on a phone camera.
Old traditions die hard, But we must change them.
I am so sorry that your life ended this way Dua. I wish I was there to save you and cover your body with mine. We will not forget you. Rest in peace. Your death was not in vein.
